The Knowledge You Need for Successful Recycling
Is what I have worth anything?
The first criteria for value are quantity. What constitutes “a lot” is highly subjective. To determine if your company is a good candidate for a plastic recycling program, contact us to discuss your individual situation. We’ll do whatever we can to design a custom plan to dispose of your waste and generate extra revenue for you.
Do you sell domestically or internationally?
Both. We welcome inquiries from global companies.
Do you buy bottles?
We buy post production bottles from manufacturers – baled, palletized, or ground.
We also buy baled #1 and #2 bottles in full truck load quantities of 30,000 pounds or more.
We do not generally buy comingled 1-7 post consumer bottles or quantities under 30,000 pounds of post consumer bottles.
Post-consumer plastic recovery on an individual basis is truly a volunteer effort, and generally does not generate profit from its collection and sale. A typical bottle weighs a little over 20 grams; it would take over 20 bottles to generate 1 pound, and about 600,000 bottles to comprise a single truckload, which is the quantity that we normally buy. How do I become a customer?
If you believe that you have a saleable amount of plastic waste or plastic scrap, the quickest way to determine its value is to email us at info@plasticrecycling.com. In addition to a text summary, please include several photos of the material you would like to sell. If necessary, we may request physical samples. We generally complete transactions within 24-72 hours after receiving the first communication from the seller.
What are your payment terms?
Our standard payment terms are Net 30. Other payment arrangements are possible based on discounts or other incentives, but we do not wire or pay cash in advance to any customer. We must be assured that the goods are of the correct quantity and quality before releasing payment.
